OUR STORY

Leda Chartered Professional Accountants Inc. was founded in 2021 by Eva Jutras and Jackie Gidda as a professional accounting firm that goes beyond providing traditional accounting services. We work closely with our clients, serving them as a team and providing professional advice that integrates the personal, business, and retirement components of life. To signify this, we have chosen the name “Leda” which is derived from Latin meaning joy and happiness. Our philosophy is to lead from a position of understanding, allowing us to guide our clients to lead happy lives.

We have made a conscious decision to be a boutique firm that works exclusively with business owners. We pride ourselves in providing personalized service and building long-term relationships with each of our clients, giving them the responsiveness, attention, and care they deserve.

Eva Jutras, CPA, CA

PARTNER

Eva moved from a small town in Germany to Salmon Arm in 1996 and considers Salmon Arm her Canadian home. After graduating high school in Salmon Arm, Eva moved to Kelowna to obtain her Bachelor of Business Administration degree with distinction from UBC Okanagan/Okanagan College. She was awarded the Bachelor of Business Administration medal in recognition of the highest graduating grade point average over the four-year program. After graduating from university, she joined a big 4 accounting firm but soon realized that this was not a right fit for her. Prior to co-founding Leda Chartered Professional Accountants in 2021, she worked at a medium-sized firm for 15 years where she was a partner for the last five years. Eva has been a member of the Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia since 2010.

Eva focuses on personal and corporate tax planning for owner-managed businesses. She believes in proactive tax planning and is passionate about working with clients to integrate their personal wealth and retirement goals with their business goals. She is excited to work closely with her clients at Leda to develop innovative, practical solutions to a broad range of business, personal and tax issues.

Eva now lives in Salmon Arm with her wonderful husband and two amazing sons. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling, cooking, camping, hiking, golfing, and spending time with family and friends.

Her professional career has been solely in public practice firms where she has worked on and managed various assurance and compilation engagements.
